Munro

Munro have built pumps and pump controls for irrigation since 1965, and they cover a gap nothing else in this catalogue does: the switchgear between a 24 V irrigation controller and a 110/220 V pump motor. The StartBox is the plain pump start relay; the SmartBox is the same relay with a pressure sensor watching for run-dry and loss of prime, and a temperature sensor watching for a dead-head — which is what actually destroys pumps. On the pump side the LP Series is the cast-iron, brass-impeller self-priming workhorse for drawing off a pond, a stream or a shallow well, and the Complete PRO II puts pump, control and enclosure into one part number.

Pump 12

LP Series 3/4 – 3 HP

Pump
Flow
At 5 ft suction lift: ¾ HP 63 gpm @ 20 psi · 1 HP 73 gpm @ 20 psi · 1½ HP 75 gpm @ 20 psi · 2 HP 102 gpm @ 20 psi · 3 HP 115 gpm @ 20 psi (still 100 gpm @ 40 psi)
Pressure
Shut-off 45–61 psi by model; maximum case pressure 150 psi
Connection
2" threaded suction, 1½" threaded discharge. Two ¾" FPT priming and accessory ports (one takes a pressure sensor and gauge) plus a ¼" FPT port for a temperature sensor — which is how a SmartBox is plumbed to it
Sizes
Five models — LP075B (¾ HP), LP100B (1 HP), LP150B (1½ HP), LP200B (2 HP), LP300B (3 HP). Motor is ODP, single or three phase, 60 Hz, 115/208/230/460 V, class B or F insulation
Best for
The workhorse turf and nursery pump — drawing from ponds, lakes, streams, cisterns and shallow wells, or boosting domestic pressure for irrigation. Cast iron body, mounting ring and diffuser, a machined and balanced brass impeller, stainless steel wear ring and a carbon-ceramic seal — where many competing turf pumps are plastic. Maximum suction lift 15 ft, though Munro recommend keeping total suction lift under 10 ft for best performance

LP 1502

Pump
Flow
At 5 ft suction lift: 75 gpm @ 40 psi · 67 gpm @ 50 psi · 56 gpm @ 60 psi · 38 gpm @ 70 psi
Pressure
Shut-off 80 psi; maximum case pressure 100 psi
Connection
2" threaded suction, 1½" threaded discharge
Sizes
2 HP — LP1502B (single phase) and LP1502B3 (three phase)
Best for
Multi-stage pressure out of a single impeller. Where you would normally reach for a multi-stage or a 5 HP pump to get 60 psi at useful flow, this 2 HP unit does it with one brass impeller — a shorter shaft, less bearing load, and none of the alignment and wear problems extra stages bring. Maximum suction lift 15 ft

LP 3005

Pump
Flow
At 5 ft suction lift, LP3005B: 145 gpm @ 30 psi · 132 gpm @ 40 psi · 110 gpm @ 50 psi · 85 gpm @ 60 psi · 47 gpm @ 70 psi. LP3005B3: 120 gpm @ 45 psi · 98 gpm @ 55 psi
Pressure
Shut-off 75 psi; maximum case pressure 100 psi
Connection
3" threaded suction, 3" threaded discharge
Sizes
5 HP — LP3005B (single phase) and LP3005B3 (three phase)
Best for
The mid-size block — athletic fields, small pastureland, or a nursery needing more flow than the 3 HP LP will give. Brass impeller, stainless wear ring, heavy-duty motor. Note the LP3005B uses a keyed shaft and sleeve, so impeller removal at service time can need heat. Maximum suction lift 15 ft

BP Series

Pump
Pressure
Case pressure to 175 psi
Connection
Dual connection — threaded and grooved
Sizes
5 HP
Best for
The high-pressure end of the Munro range — a straight (not self-priming) centrifugal, where the 175 psi case rating lets it work as a serious booster. Two connection styles on the same pump, so it drops into threaded or grooved pipe without adapters. Small footprint makes it a common pump-station choice

MU Series 7½ – 20 HP

Pump
Sizes
7½ to 20 HP
Best for
The top of the Munro self-priming range, for blocks needing greater flow and higher head than the LP series delivers. The enclosed one-piece bronze impeller is balanced and trimmed to a specific operating range, so the duty point matters more than the horsepower when specifying one. Mechanical shaft seal and heavy-duty motor
Catalog ↗

RP Series

Pump
Connection
3" threaded discharge; solids handling to 0.31"
Sizes
½ HP to 5 HP. Enclosed channel chrome steel impeller on 2–5 HP, open vein impeller on ½–1 HP. Example model RP0302S22 — 2 HP, 230 V single phase, 9 A, about 21" long. A separate RP LV sub-series covers 7½–20 HP
Best for
Low head, high flow, running continuously — recirculating water features, non-potable water transfer and flood irrigation. Installs vertically or horizontally, which matters when the pump has to be concealed inside a decorative feature. The flow path runs across the motor housing to carry heat away and amp draw is low, which is what makes continuous duty affordable to run. Stainless steel outer case, thermally protected motor, double mechanical shaft seal (carbon/ceramic upper, silicon/silicon lower), steel suction strainer, sealed cable entry and a lift ring
Catalog ↗

FS Series 1/3 – 30 HP

Pump
Connection
3" NPT threaded discharge on the 2 HP model; solids handling to 0.36"
Sizes
⅓ HP to 30 HP. Abrasion-resistant high chrome steel impeller on 2 HP and above, balanced ductile iron impeller on ⅓–1½ HP. Example model FS315S11 — 2 HP, 110 V single phase, 20 A, about 22" long
Best for
Dewatering and water transfer across a very wide horsepower band. A stainless steel double casing takes the flow across the motor housing for continuous running, with a heat-treated stainless shaft, thermally protected motor, double mechanical seal (carbon/ceramic upper, silicon/carbide lower), stainless suction strainer, sealed cable entry and a lift ring. Built tough enough for mine and construction dewatering, which is why it holds up easily on irrigation duty

Complete PRO II 3/4 – 3 HP

Pump
Connection
2" suction and 1½" discharge on the pump; cam-lock quick-connect fittings both sides, with a flexible rubber discharge hose rated to 150 psi working pressure and a 1½" PVC solvent-weld × cam-lock transition to the mainline. AWG 12/3 pigtail prewired to the motor for the provided electrical outlet
Sizes
¾ HP to 3 HP, built on the LP series pump and controlled by a SmartBox
Best for
The whole pump station in one part number — professional-grade pump, SmartBox control with built-in protection, simplified plumbing and a purpose-built enclosure. It exists because hand-built pump houses are where the fittings, gauges, wiring and code violations creep in. Ships complete and carries a 2-year comprehensive warranty rather than the usual 1 year
Catalog ↗

Complete PRO II – On Demand

Pump
Best for
The Complete PRO II fitted with the Pressure Start Control Box instead of a controller input — open a hose or a spigot and the pump starts on demand, with no lawn controller and no pressure tank. It uses flow and pressure together to detect demand. The obvious answer for a dock, a wash-down point or spot watering off a pond, lake, stream, cistern or shallow well. 2-year warranty

Complete PRO II 5 HP

Pump
Sizes
5 HP — skid-only, or with a powder-coated marine-grade aluminium enclosure
Best for
The 5 HP Complete PRO II, with the enclosure made optional. Take the skid for an indoor pump room where you only need the assembly done properly; take the marine-grade aluminium enclosure where it has to stand up outdoors

Complete BOOST

Pump
Best for
For an existing irrigation system that has lost pressure — an expanding neighbourhood, over-taxed domestic supply, pop-ups that will not pop. It plumbs into the system and adds pressure automatically whenever flow goes above 5 gpm, so it stays out of the way the rest of the time. Stainless steel pump, self-contained, plug-and-go
Catalog ↗

Universal PRO Pump Enclosure

Pump
Sizes
Accommodates pumps up to 3 HP
Best for
A proper enclosure for a pump you already own — powder-coated stainless steel, with inlet and outlet ventilation, mounting for a pump control box, and security features. Rot-free, maintenance-free and vandal resistant, which a site-built plywood box is not. Ships flat and assembles with a hand rivet gun

Pump control & protection 15

SmartBox

Pump control & protection
Pressure
Pressure sensor preset to 20 psi, fitted in the pump case or the mainline just downstream of the pump. The temperature sensor shuts the pump down above 105 degrees at the pump housing
Connection
¼" NPT for the pressure sensor and the optional temperature sensor — the LP series pump has ports for both. Wires to the master valve and common terminals of any AC lawn controller
Sizes
MPLC24 (pressure sensor) · MPLC24T (adds temperature sensor) — add G for grey or S for unpainted stainless to the model number, so MPLC24S and MPLC24TS are the stainless builds. Signal voltage 24, 110 or 220 VAC. The standard 40 A relay starts a single-phase pump to 5 HP; the family reaches 10 HP through the thermal-protection models (3, 5, 7½ and 10 HP max), and three-phase or larger is a custom build. Electrical rating 120 V 24 FLA / 240 V 28 FLA, 5 kA short-circuit. Replacement parts: ELRELAY1D contactor (24 V, 40 A, DIN rail), ELTIMER1 on-delay timer (0 s–10 min), ELSWITCH2 20 psi pressure sensor, ELTEMP25 temperature sensor
Best for
A pump start relay that also protects the pump. The pressure sensor catches run-dry and loss of prime before the seals go; the temperature sensor catches a dead-head, where the pump keeps running against a closed discharge and cooks the pipework and PVC. Compatible with all major AC controller brands, and all power leaving the box is 24 V rather than line voltage. UL and cUL listed, NEMA 3R enclosure. The time delay is factory set at 30 seconds and is field adjustable — a large zone or a first fill may need longer. A reduced-incoming-amperage version suits controllers whose pump-start output is under 0.35 A

StartBox

Pump control & protection
Connection
Colour-coded quick-connect; wires to the master valve and common terminals of the lawn controller
Sizes
MPSR24 (110/220 VAC line, 24 VAC control) · MPSR110 and MPSR220 (line and control the same voltage) · MPSR110A / MPSR220A (24 VAC control) · AU suffix adds pump-up float control, AD adds pump-down, AH is a further float variant · MPSR2453-460 is the three-phase model (5 HP, 24 V coil, 480 V 7 FLA). Add G for grey or S for unpainted stainless. The standard 40 A relay starts a single-phase pump to 5 HP; the family reaches 10 HP through the thermal-protection models. Electrical rating 120 V 28 FLA, 5 kA short-circuit
Best for
The plain pump start relay — the bridge between a 24 V irrigation controller and a 110/220 V pump motor, with no sensing. Compatible with all major controller brands, and it can equally be signalled by a float switch, an HOA or a timer. The "A" models energise external devices at a safer 24 VAC instead of line voltage. UL and cUL listed, NEMA 3R. A reduced-incoming-amperage version handles controllers with a pump-start output under 0.35 A (2 HP max at 110 V, 5 HP at 220 V). Note that the StartBox and SmartBox troubleshooting guides do not apply to 2-wire decoder systems

On Demand Start Control

Pump control & protection
Pressure
Higher pressure switches available; constant pressure available at 50 psi
Sizes
Starts and stops up to a 2 HP pump; a Pressure Start Control Box is available for larger motors
Best for
Starts the pump on demand with no irrigation controller and no pressure tank. A drop in line pressure trips the pressure switch and starts the pump; once pressure rebuilds, a flow switch takes over, so the pump keeps running while water is moving and shuts down on a roughly one-minute delay once flow stops — which is what stops it short-cycling. Includes low pressure and dead-head protection. UL-50 Type 3R enclosure in stainless steel or powder-coated blue; external switches run at 24 V. Pump and fittings not included

BrainBox

Pump control & protection
Pressure
Pressure sensor preset to 20 psi; temperature sensor shuts the pump down above 105 degrees. Time delay factory set at 30 seconds, field adjustable
Sizes
MBRB241 (one float) or MBRB242 (two floats) — add G for grey or S for unpainted stainless. 40 A relay, 24 VAC coil; largest motor 2 HP at 110 V, 5 HP at 220 V. Electrical rating 120 V 28 FLA, 60 Hz, 5 kA short-circuit. NEMA 3R enclosure, 12" × 12" × 6". Float controls are 13 A at 120/240 VAC on a 55" 16 AWG cord
Best for
Makes a rainwater harvest system behave like a mains one. Float switches watch the tank level; when the controller calls for water the BrainBox draws from the tank, or switches to a secondary source when the tank is low — and that secondary source can either feed the system directly or top the tank back up. Two modes: partial tank utilisation pumps whatever water is in the tank, while max tank utilisation only starts the pump when the tank is full so collection capacity is preserved. Includes loss-of-prime and dead-head protection. Works with any brand of 24 V controller, including 2-wire, and a reduced-incoming-amperage version handles controllers under 0.35 A. Floats and sensors are wired at 24 V, which is safer if people or pets reach them. UL listed

DamBox

Pump control & protection
Connection
⚠️ Requires a normally-closed float switch, which is NOT supplied with the DamBox
Sizes
MPDB110B (110 V model; B is blue, G grey, S unpainted stainless). 40 A relay, 110 VAC coil; largest motor 2 HP at 110 V, 5 HP at 220 V. Electrical rating 120 V 28 FLA, 60 Hz. NEMA 3R enclosure. Thermal overload protection available for motors 3 HP and larger
Best for
Solves a specific and expensive failure: a partly clogged water-feature filter lets the pump empty the skimmer, the falling level then triggers a restart, and the pump short-cycles itself to death unnoticed. The DamBox locks the pump out the moment the level drops, using a secondary UL listed relay, and keeps it out until someone clears the filter and presses the reset button. A reduced-external-voltage version keeps everything leaving the box at 24 V

TimeBox (Coaches Box)

Pump control & protection
Sizes
Starts and stops up to a 2 HP pump and a 24 VAC solenoid; supplies 24 V, 0.5 A for external valves. Run time adjustable 1 second to 10 hours (factory set to 15 minutes); lock-out adjustable to 10 hours
Best for
Gives the public a water button without giving them the irrigation system. Press it and water runs for a preset time through sprinklers, misters or outlets — keeping dust down on a court, cooling playground sand — and the built-in lock-out period stops anyone re-triggering it into a flood. It drives a zone valve or a pump start relay directly, so no separate irrigation controller is needed. UL and cUL listed relay and enclosure; UL-50 Type 3R stainless steel panel; terminal block wiring

Pump Control Panels

Pump control & protection
Connection
Straight-through wiring — top-line and bottom-load connections, with accessible pressure connections for line, load and control
Sizes
Overload relays rated for 2,000,000 electrical and 20,000,000 mechanical operations through 20 HP at 460 V; solid-state adjustable relays for single-class motors to 10 HP at 230 V, and for three-phase from fractional horsepower. "MPLC" model numbers designate the optional SmartBox pump protection system
Best for
The proper panel for a bigger or three-phase pump, built for irrigation rather than adapted to it. Standard build is a NEMA 3R rainproof and sleet-resistant enclosure with main circuit breaker, IEC contactor, adjustable thermal overload, external reset pushbutton, fused control circuit, Hand-Off-Auto selector and a terminal block for remote control, factory-wired. Overload relays are bimetallic with ambient compensation, trip indication, and manual or automatic reset. Custom modifications available

Multi-Signal / Multi-Pump Control Box

Pump control & protection
Best for
For the two layouts that do not fit a standard relay: several start signals that all need to drive one pump, or one controller that has to operate two pumps. Built to the same standard as the rest of the Munro control family
Catalog ↗

FloatControl

Pump control & protection
Connection
In-line, direct acting; cord length at the pivot point sets the pump up/down differential
Sizes
13 A at 120/240 VAC with 16 AWG cord
Best for
Controls a ½ HP or smaller pump motor directly, or any larger motor through a pump start relay. Adjust the cycle by shortening or lengthening the cord at the pivot. Omni-directional — the pumping differential holds in any horizontal position. IP68, maximum operating temperature 140 °F, and the float is approved for drinking water applications

Liquid Level Control

Pump control & protection
Sizes
Type C relay — pump-down control for sewage and sump pumps, and low-level cutoff for submersibles · Type D and Type G relays — pump-up control for supply pumps on elevated tanks and towers, and high cutoff for pumps and valves
Best for
Electrode-based level control for where a float will not do — filling an elevated tank or tower, emptying a sump, or cutting a submersible out before it runs dry. Pick the relay type by which direction you are controlling. Wire suspension electrodes are available for long drops or where headroom is tight
Catalog ↗

Liquid Level Control Box

Pump control & protection
Sizes
Available with pump-up or pump-down float options
Best for
Takes the line voltage out of a float switch. A float wired for 110 V or 220 V that fails in water is an immediate hazard; this shifts the control side to a safe 24 V circuit, which many electrical codes prefer or require in wet locations and which is far easier to interface with relays and other controls. Choose pump-up to fill a tank or pump-down to empty one

Munro Guard Low Pressure Cut-Off Switch

Pump control & protection
Pressure
Preset to cut off at 12 psi and cut in at 32 psi; adjustable — maximum adjustable cut-in 80 psi, minimum adjustable cut-off 6 psi
Best for
The cheapest run-dry protection there is. Built in the robust style of the original Furnas 69WC7 switch, with adjustable cut-in and cut-out, for centrifugal, jet, well and other domestic water pumps. UL Recognized. Rubber grommets for wire entry, so no romex connector is needed
Catalog ↗

Pressure Switches

Pump control & protection
Best for
Low water pressure cut-off switches — inexpensive protection against a pump running dry, for centrifugal, jet, well and other domestic water pumps. For an adjustable switch with published set points, see the Munro Guard
Catalog ↗

Pump Savers

Pump control & protection
Best for
Three-phase motor protection against the five ways a three-phase motor dies: over current, under current, current imbalance, single phasing and reverse phasing. Reverse phasing matters particularly on a Munro pump — every Munro pump runs counter-clockwise only, and reversed rotation causes catastrophic failure and voids the warranty
Catalog ↗

Flow Sensor

Pump control & protection
Sizes
Pipe sizes 1" to 6"
Best for
Flow / no-flow detection across a wide range of pipe sizes — the second half of a demand-start scheme, and a straightforward way to prove a pump is actually moving water rather than just running
