PSNO Valve — PVC

Best for
Pressure Sustaining Normally Open — it sits open and only throttles when upstream pressure falls, which is exactly what a filter station needs. Holds enough pressure through a backflush that the flush actually cleans the screen, so cycles are shorter, filters come back faster and less water goes down the drain. Set the pilot to the sustaining pressure you want (e.g. 45 psi)

Surge protection for the whole system. It sits fully closed while pressure is within range, then opens fast the instant pressure spikes — on pump start-up, on a sudden valve closure, or on a power cut. Netafim call it the universal solution for protecting a system, and it is the cheapest insurance against a split mainline
