Most of what is on this page exists because something on a nursery wears out, gets dropped or drains down overnight. Nozzle tips, hose washers, punch blades and O-rings are consumables. Repair kits bring a Dramm 300 shut-off valve or an Autofog back to spec. The Rivulis leakage prevention devices and lateral flush valve are system accessories that change how a micro-sprinkler or dripline block behaves at start-up and shut-off.

Which do you need: a wear part, a repair kit or a system accessory?

Start with the unit the part goes on, then decide what has actually failed.

Wear parts are replaced on a schedule rather than at failure: MS-TG spray gun orifices and cores, BP-4 fan and twin nozzles, JetFog nozzle tips and silicone anti-drip diaphragms, Pin-Perfect and JetRain pins, hose-end washers, the 3 mm blade for the PUNCH1650, and Al-Magor spare punches. Dramm's own note on the spray gun tips is to replace them regularly for best results, and a crew that keeps a bag of Blue Universal Washers on the cart fixes a leaking hose end in seconds instead of living with it.

Repair kits rebuild a tool. The Dramm 300 valve has two: the Handle kit replaces the forged handle with its valve stem, nyloc nut and stem washer, and the Full kit replaces every internal component plus the handle. The Autofog Annual Maintenance Kit bundles the O-rings, nozzle solution line and compressor air filter that should be changed each season, with calibration instructions; specify ML, SL or LV.

System accessories add a function. The Rivulis Super LPD, Lateral LPD and Lateral Flush Valve control what a block does between cycles. The Autofog AirKit lets a fogger head mount permanently in the greenhouse, fed by a customer-supplied compressor. PulsFOG carts, the Bigfoot Upgrade's pneumatic wheels for the Coldfogger and the 5 Point Pivot Bracket for the Heavy Duty Hose Reel make spray and fogging equipment move and turn the way a busy house needs.

What do the anti-drain valves, flush valves and nozzle hardware need from your system?

The Rivulis Super LPD is an anti-drain valve, not an emitter. It holds the line full and pressurized after shut-off so the next cycle starts instantly. Three builds: the black low-pressure model opens at 20 psi and closes at 9, the green medium-pressure at 44 and 22, and the blue high-pressure at 58 and 35. Low-pressure is the micro-sprinkler build; medium and high are for foggers. Match the build to the operating pressure of the heads, not to the pump. It fits all Rivulis micro-sprinklers, in 4/7 barb, female or 3/8-inch thread.

On dripline, the Lateral LPD keeps the lateral charged between cycles, so no drain-down and refill and no puddling at the low points. The Lateral Flush Valve does the opposite job on purpose: it opens at the start of a cycle to flush sediment from the far end, then closes as pressure builds. Long laterals on water that carries silt benefit from both.

Dramm's Assembly Insert seats a 3/8 Whitworth nozzle in a 7/16-inch drilled hole in schedule 40 PVC, aluminum or galvanized pipe at operating pressures up to 50 psi. Schedule 80 will not seal.

The Autofog AirKit needs a customer-supplied compressor and separate control such as a climate computer; it comes in 120 or 220 volt with a 24 V solenoid. Before blaming a nozzle, check pressure: gauge needle adaptors test PE line pressure at a barb, and the MSO gauge kit reads 0 to 1500 psi at the pump outlet, before the hose.

The mistakes we see, and where Rivulis, Dramm and Al-Magor each fit

The most common ordering error is a Pin-Perfect pin bought by flow rate. Pin color designates output, but the orifice in the black nozzle body sets the flow, and every pin has the same diameter. Replace a pin with the original color; the black 180-degree pin is the exception, giving a half pattern at the same flow. JetRain pins are specific to each nozzle, so state the color.

Next is the wrong variant: roses and pins carry color codes, DrammPress jaws come in two sizes, the Autofog maintenance kit is unit-specific, and Al-Magor spare punches are matched to the QDB or QDS. Send the item number or the unit it fits and ask us to confirm.

Deferred maintenance costs the most. A JetFog diaphragm reseated without the wrench tool, a spray gun tip run past its life or an Autofog that skips its annual kit shows up as uneven coverage long before anyone traces it to the part. Drilled one hole too many? The Nozzle Plug caps it; the 3 mm plug does the same on the 3 mm barbed fitting.

The three lines differ in approach. Dramm backs its own equipment with kits and tips, from watering-can roses to PulsFOG carts. Rivulis supplies hydraulic accessories that change how a whole block behaves. Al-Magor keeps service tools serviceable: adapters so one handle drives different inserter heads, and spare punches so a worn tool is refreshed rather than replaced.
