Which Accu-Tab series fits my water source and my range?

Every unit erodes calcium hypochlorite tablets in a controlled bed, so the choice comes down to how treated water re-enters your system and how tightly you control the dose.

Accu-Tab Series 3000 is the gravity or suction-feed unit for most nurseries treating pond, well or reuse water into a holding tank. The 3012 is small enough for a single house, the 3075 and 3150 cover most greenhouse ranges, and the 3530 and up are for large blocks.

Accu-Tab Series 2000 GS plumbs straight into the line with 1.5 in. sockets (2 in. on the 2600 GS) for a tidy install where floor space is tight. Accu-Tab Series 2000 P is the skid version with a booster pump that re-injects into a pressurized main or feeds more than one destination, and the one specified where produce is washed or sprayed.

The Accu-Tab PowerPro Series modulates delivery across a band rather than at a fixed rate, so residual holds steady as demand swings through the day. What does the install need, and where do these systems go wrong?

Decide where the chlorinator sits first. A Series 3000 needs a gravity drop or a suction-side connection into a tank or pump intake. The 2000 GS wants a straight run of pipe with room for its sockets. The 2000 P and PowerPro skids need floor space, from 20 by 40 in. on the smallest 2075 P to 54 by 87 in. on the PowerPro 481200, plus power for the booster pump or controls.

Chlorination is not filtration. Chlorine controls biological growth; it does nothing for sand, silt or debris already in the pond, so pair it with proper filtration. The mistakes we see most: a chlorinator sized for average flow that cannot hold residual at peak demand, nobody checking residual at the far end of the range, and chlorine run into the same tank as a fertilizer program without checking compatibility.
