PSNO Valve — PVC

Best for: Pressure Sustaining Normally Open — it sits open and only throttles when upstream pressure falls, which is exactly what a filter station needs. Holds enough pressure through a backflush that the flush actually cleans the screen, so cycles are shorter, filters come back faster and less water goes down the drain. Set the pilot to the sustaining pressure you want (e.g. 45 psi)

Quick Relief (QR) Valves

Best for: Surge protection for the whole system. It sits fully closed while pressure is within range, then opens fast the instant pressure spikes — on pump start-up, on a sudden valve closure, or on a power cut. Netafim call it the universal solution for protecting a system, and it is the cheapest insurance against a split mainline

Exceptionally low inrush and holding current gives the longest wire run from valve to controller. No-diode solenoid, stable against voltage fluctuation and insensitive to dirt. Integrated check valve on 1½" and 2" keeps the valve shut until the controller calls for it. Optimal vertically. Flow-control stem gives manual control from full closure to full capacity

Retrofits an existing manual system, and you can still add pressure reducing or any other control function on the same valve. Good fit for seasonal crops where the system moves

Best for: Holds a uniform flow rate from 7 to 58 psi, so the first and last plant on a long or sloping run get the same water. Suits vineyards and orchards where the lateral covers real elevation. Turbonet flow path gives the dripper an unusually large water passage — the industry’s widest flow path and a wider cross-section — so contaminants pass straight through instead of lodging. The tooth pattern maximises velocity along a short path, which is what keeps it from silting up.

Best for: Built for the nursery grower, and the reason is the spray pattern — it angles downward just enough to keep water on the mix instead of over the rim. Water that hits the pot wall runs down the side and straight out the bottom without wetting anything. Even distribution also activates top-dressed fertiliser uniformly. PC holds the flow steady to 60 psi, so long rows and sloping ground stay even. Single spray suits a stake at the pot edge; double wets more of the mix from the centre
